Cottage Addition – Fenelon Falls, Ontario

Engineering Plans, Design and Build

Our client wanted to expand their cottage with a 540-square-foot addition at the front. We began by re-levelling the foundation of the existing structure to ensure it could support the new build. Once the engineering plans were approved, we removed the old deck and screened-in porch and proceeded with construction. This included installing nine new supports, framing, insulation, vapour barrier, panelling, ceiling pine boards, vinyl flooring, painting, and building an entryway with a small landing deck.

The interior features white panelling on the walls, vinyl flooring, and pine boards on the ceiling, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. One of the standout design elements is the 24-foot LVL beams, which offer critical structural support while serving as a striking architectural feature. Throughout the project, we prioritized enhancing the cottage’s scenic water views, making it a focal point of the new living space.
